Yellow Boat

6x6 Oil on Panel
SOLD
Katie W-B and I painted all day in Portsmouth. After driving all the way to the coast, I realized I forgot my easel. Then, about a mile into our drive home, I remembered I left this painting on the roof of my car.

Sounds like you really had to work at this one, but as always with your art...it was well worth it. I'm envious of the light that you capture.

Karen, Did you find your painting? It is a beauty and I can feel Fall in the air. I think you can say, you had one of those days.

Another beautiful painting! I love the way you have carried the yellow throughout the painting, especially in the sky.

This is a real gem, Karen. I love that it survived the trip on the top of your car, and am looking forward to it making a trip to my house :)

Great looking painting and had to laugh at your story. So glad the painting stayed put.

Glad you didn't lose this one. The occasional cool blues balance the otherwise warm atmosphere perfectly.

Great light and luminosity, gorgeous colors. When I looked through all the daily paintings, and asked myself which one I would buy from this bunch,(if I had any money :-) I picked this one.
I leave my coffee on the roof of the car all the time. Usually I remember in time.

Hi Karen,

I'm sorry I'm so late with my comment, I've been hosting a studio show all weekend, and didn't have time to let you know that I craved buying this painting, so I'm glad someone did. It is amazing, a marvel,
like all of your work.

Looks like you saved it. Beautiful. I've pulled out of my driveway with my breakfast on the roof of my car. How embarrassing cleaning up smooshed peanut butter and jelly off the street!
