Karen, have been away from my computer for a couple of weeks, but what a treat to return to your wonderful posts since I last checked. You have been one busy artist...and I love your new subjects, figurative work is exceptional and ahhh...the beach scenes are so inviting. If I lived nearby, I wouldn't work either!!!

Nice job. You can really sense the sun with all the reflective light. Not easy to do or see, but you got the eye.

Your last 2 beach scenes are great!... also how you are able to leave a large brushstoke intact!

gotta take advantage of the nice weather when it comes here in NE. That's why the beaches were busy! Great spots for colorful paintings, love the umbrellas and figures.

I like how the top right side of the umbrella has a lost edge treatment in contrast to the vivid color and strong brushstrokes elsewhere!
