Red Barn

10x8 Oil on Canvas
The sun was right in my eyes while painting this one.
Does anyone know of a good plein air umbrella?

Karen, love your latest three posted works, especially the interplay of the red with the cooler colors.

This is a warm and inviting painting. Your brush work is beautiful and the color joyful. I like the lacy pattern of the ground leading into the painting.

Yes, I agree with Pam here, the brushwork is fabulous. The colours work very well too and I like the fact that the red barn is almost suggested on the side and not totally prominent!

Great painting! Nice to see you left a comment for a change my dear! I just bought the umbrella on the dick blick site and it works great. It was cheap too!

Such a beautiful, cohesive series you've been working on. Any plans for a upcoming exhibit?
