So, who is Tom and how long has he had chickens? Lovely painting and great depiction of the light! Do tell us a story about this painting!

Okay, Tom is a good friend and was recently given five chickens. What a gift, huh? Well, we do live in NH. Anyway, he is taking it very seriously. They follow him around as though he is their mother.

Karen, another great piece with fantastic brushwork and colors. Your highlights are, and your overall values, are dead on.

So many things I like about this painting, like the - dash of blue under Tom's chin, the big yellow juxtaposed with the big dark, the color of the chickens on the yellow. I could go on. Great job!

Wow Karen,

I just love the light and brushwork in this. Everything seems to be in motion, which is right. The chickens
are so fluffy and perfect in a moving and abstract way.
So cool

Take care,

Barbara

I absolutely love this painting. It looks just like you said -- someone who isn't used to having chickens, but he's enjoying the heck out of it. And the colors and values are just superb. High five!
